Everything about our experience with the Colony Club was exceptional, from our very first tour to the final moments of our reception. The venue is absolutely stunning — our guests haven’t stopped talking about how magical it felt, especially watching the sunset pour through the grand ballroom windows as we danced the night away! The food was truly phenomenal, with so many guests telling us it was the best wedding meal they’ve ever had. Throughout the planning process, Julia went above and beyond to guide us with warmth and professionalism. During the week of the wedding, Miranda was an incredible coordinator who made sure every detail went off without a hitch. We are so grateful to the entire team and truly could not recommend the Colony Club more!”

The Gem Theatre was the most incredible venue we could have asked for. From the initial tour through wedding day, Amber was so helpful with every question along the way. Their flexibility, attention to detail and expertise made our wedding day so great. Nathalie was so helpful on wedding day in working seamlessly with all of our vendors. The staff were so attentive to every guest all night. We received so many compliments from guests about the quality of the service. The food and drinks were incredible and the venue was beautiful. Everyone at the Gem made our wedding so special. You can't beat the location and service at the Gem and I cannot recommend their venue enough. We wish we could do it all over again because they made it so easy!”

One week ago we had our dream wedding - it was the best night of our lives! The Gem Theatre is a stunning, intimate, and private venue. The staff were fantastic throughout our entire night, and our guests loved telling us how incredible everything was.. the food, the service, the ceremony, and the Gem itself. Throughout the entire planning process, Julia Hodge was quick to respond, thorough, and kept us so confident along the way. Dylan, our day of venue manager, seamlessly picked up where Julia left off. Together they made us feel at home, and we can't recommend them or the Gem Theatre enough. You should pick this venue!! They exceeded all of our expectations and we couldn't be more grateful we chose to have our wedding at the Gem.”

We absolutely loved having our wedding at The Colony Club Detroit! The staff was so wonderful to work with — helpful, kind, and attentive every step of the way. The venue itself is stunning, with so much built-in beauty, yet still flexible enough to make it feel completely your own. The food and drinks were excellent, and we loved that so much was included — from the tables and chairs to in-house catering. Having those details taken care of took a lot of stress off the planning process and made everything run so smoothly. It’s such a timeless, elegant space and truly the perfect setting for a wedding. We couldn’t have been happier!”

My husband and I got married at the Colony Club on 8/10/2025 and could not have been happier with the venue and service! The space is absolutely magical, and the staff was incredible from the start of the planning process through the day of our event we could not have been happier. Amber was our sales manager and made everything easy- she was always prompt to reply to my many questions and didn't miss a detail as we planned the event from start to finish. Our day of event manager Miranda was AMAZING! She organized all of the details like our seating chart, desserts, photos and our soffreh table to beautifully. I was so happy when I walked in to our wedding and saw that Miranda had made my vision come to life. Planning a wedding in six months should have been stressful but it really wasn't for us because the team at the Colony Club is top notch and made everything seamless. Highly recommend!"

My wife and I were married here on 7/11/25, and we cannot say enough great things. Everything was incredible. The food, the drink, the staff, and the atmosphere were all completely top notch. BIG BIG thanks to Amber Sharp who helped us make our day so special. From first meeting to last she was on top of it. At every step she made us feel taken care of, and she communicated so incredibly. Every little request and coordination detail we could have asked for was handled, and things could not have gone any better. Our guests are still explaining what an incredible time they had. My only hope is that I get to attend a wedding here as a guest to see it from that side because our own went incredibly too fast! In short: we couldn't have asked for a better venue for our wedding. We worked with Taliah to plan and prepare our wedding there, and the process was incredibly smooth, detailed, and organized. She left no stone unturned and helped us make decisions on things we never would have thought about - there are so many things, both large and little, that make for a great wedding, and it was clear on our day that they were ready for all of them. Every single person we interacted with at every level of staff was very kind, thoughtful, and attentive. Our guests remarked on how amazing the venue is; pictures barely do it justice. We feel very fortunate to have had our wedding at the Gem, it was everything we could've wanted and more for our special day."
